Now, about that list. First, it may vary, depending on the type of loft. We handle everything. After our first meeting, we’ll measure up and draw a proper scale design. You don’t pay for that. It’s part of how we work — so the right people on our team can weigh in before a single brick moves.
Planning? Building control? Regulations? We sort it. You don’t need to deal with a pile of different contacts. It’s all with us.
Once you’re happy, we pick a date and get moving. From the first knock to the last roll of wallpaper, we do the lot. The quote? Fixed. The costs? Set out and agreed before we start. No last-minute extras. No waffle. Just the loft you wanted — built properly.
We put up scaffolding where it is needed.
We open the roof so work can begin.
We install structural supports for the ceiling and dormer.
We install a new floor joist, often with a building inspector present.
We build the exterior of the construction.
We begin installing interior aspects of the conversion.
The building inspector returns for quality assurance.
Our Roofer completes the roof and installs guttering.
We install internal partitions.
We add insulation is for energy efficiency.
We add glass panes to the windows.
Stairs are built to access the loft.
We install wiring and electrical sockets.
We add plaster boards.
We add the flooring and fixtures of your choice.
Depending on your wishes, we add the WC or shower room.
We add fireproofing for safety.
We make sure the gutters are safe and working properly.
Officials assess the build for fire regulations and overall safety.
The loft conversion is now ready for painting and decorating.
